Mercedes College is an International Baccalaureate Reception to Year 12 Catholic school in the one location with a wonderful record of academic excellence in both the IB and SACE.

We offer a progressive, internationally focussed curriculum supported by family and community values. Our aim is to prepare our students as future local, national and global community leaders by providing opportunities that enable students to reach their full potential.

Our strong values-centred Catholic education is based on the Mercy Keys of Integrity, Loyalty, Compassion, Justice, Mutual Respect and Responsibility, core values that are an integral part of the way of life for all members of the Mercedes community.

Mercy Tradition

The Mercy tradition at Mercedes College compels the community to be infused with the practise of Corporal and Spiritual Acts of Mercy. A Catholic charity or a group of charities becomes the focus for student outreach through lesson topics and in fundraising activities, with Term 3s focus being the various Mercy Works in Australasia and with a particular leaning to Catherine House and Adelaide Day Centre.

With the Catholic Charities Appeal being held during this time of the year as well, part of the funds raised during Mercy Week is allocated to the Catholic Charities Appeal which administers a section of its money to the Adelaide based Mercy Charities. Mercy Week, with activities such as a Reception to Year 7 Fun Run, Sausage Sizzle and Casual Day, becomes a vehicle of awareness raising as well as financially supporting those who carry out Corporal Acts of Mercy in the Archdiocese.
